Full Aircraft Restoration

The average process time for a complete aircraft paint job is 5-6 weeks. This all depends on the condition of the aircraft, as well as the design that the customer is choosing to go with.  Here’s a breakdown of our process:

– Inspect aircrafts exterior to document any prior damage and determine extent of work to be performed

– Remove all control surfaces. Ensuring to properly store and label all hardware and items removed

– Mask off all windows, pitot tubes, landing gears, control surface areas we deem and all areas we deem necessary for a safe and efficient paint stripping/removal process

– Stripping process is completed using Bio – degradable and environmentally safe paint strippers. The aircraft and its control surfaces are coated multiple times to achieve a clean finish bare aluminum finish

– Fix any imperfections on metals, fiberglass and plastics as required as well as apply filler and epoxy primers as required

– Our base coat is now ready to be applied. Jet Glo Express Matterhorn White is our standard base coat color but we can change it to accommodate any color of the customers choosing

– Design and Registration Numbers are now ready to be laid out, masked off and painted

– Finally the aircraft is reassembled, all log book entries are filled out, and a final wipe down is done.
